What To Expect
The programme requires commitment, organisation and independent study alongside taught sessions.
Learners will be expected to:
• Attend weekly sessions
• Complete coursework and assignments
• Undertake teaching observations
• Participate in reflective practice
• Complete independent study between sessions
• Develop practical teaching experience
Support is provided throughout the course to help learners build confidence and succeed academically and professionally.
Entry Requirements
Applicants should ideally:
• Be aged 19 or over
• Hold a Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience
• Have appropriate literacy, communication and digital skills
• Have access to an appropriate teaching placement or educational setting
• Be passionate about working within education and training
Relevant professional or industry experience will also be considered.
Teaching Placement Requirements
Learners are required to complete teaching practice hours as part of the qualification.
Applicants should ideally have access to:
• A teaching, training or educational environment
• Opportunities to deliver sessions to learners aged 14+
• Observation opportunities within practice
